Assume administrative responsibility for the interior design project scope-of-work and coordinate with the project team and design consultants, under supervision of the Director of Design Management.
Assist in developing FF&E Estimated Budgets and provide estimated quantity take-off information to conform to established project budgets.
Organize and coordinate ID concept presentation content, including material/finish boards, color renderings, imagery and concept visuals and related graphics materials.
Produce content for all project ID documents (i.e., material boards, FF&E specifications, drawings for design intent, and specification binders) for presentation and construction documentation as needed.
Develop interior design (quantity and room type) matrixes that coordinate with ID drawings, schedules and FF&E specifications.
Organize and coordinate project interior design specification production with the project team.
Provide content or drafts of the FFE specifications as needed for formal issue.
Review, refine and verify accuracy of interior specifications prior to issuance on Buzzsaw.
Verify that FF&E specifications coordinate with project Architectural Specifications.
Coordinate any Purchasing Department buyer inquiries in order to ensure that design intent is followed.
Recommend alternate design products to project team when item cannot be produced within project timeframe or exceeds approved budget.
Coordinate with Property, General Contractor, Purchasing Department and Vendors at pre-production, production, and installation of FF&E specialty items (i.e., murals, ceilings, special finishes, interior architectural elements, etc.) to ensure that the design integrity is maintained.
Organize field visits, ID site supervision and interior finish and FF&E punch lists related to interior design scope as required.
Issue meeting minutes and field visit reports related to interior design project scope.
Organize and archive project interior design records.
Train assistant design staff in the processes of issuing meeting minutes, field reports, responding to RFI’s, submittal reviews and punch lists.
Evaluate design resources, review products, manufacturers and vendors for potential use in design projects.
Conduct preliminary field surveys for project interior design scope verification.
Develop interior design concepts and material and finish palettes for projects as part of the team or in independent design efforts, working under the supervision of the Director of Design Development.
Make FF& E selections that meet project program, budget and timeline.
Create interior detail sketches for hard flooring patterns, carpet patterns, window treatments, interior elements and other custom interior finishes.
Present the interior design concepts, design intent and other illustrative materials for a project to internal (MRI-Design) team.
Interact with Project IA Designer and Project Architect for coordination of the following:
floor finishes, wall and ceiling finishes, specific design intent, interior architectural details, millwork, window treatments, built-in furnishings, stonework and ceramic tile, decorative lighting and other materials as required by project scope.
Coordinate with graphics and signage designers to ensure these elements relate to the project design concept and program.
Provide direction to questions posed in contractor’s RFI’s that are related to the project interior design intent.
Review, comment and accept designer-specified product and FF&E sample submittals within the allotted turnaround time.
Review, comment, coordinate and accept FF&E shop drawings within the allotted turnaround time.
All duties are to be performed under the guidance of the Directors and in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. ----- Required:
At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in an architectural or interior design organization with emphasis on hospitality design projects.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Bachelor Degree from a 4 or 5 year accredited Interior Design or Interior Architecture program, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Daily working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms. Preferred:
Daily working knowledge of Autocad.
Basic knowledge of Photoshop.
Nevada State ID Registration.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
