The Joint/Air Force Programs group (JTAF) provides timely and objective assessments to elements of the Department of Defense (DoD) including Headquarters Air Force and across the Air Force nuclear enterprise. JTAF primarily focuses on the DoD acquisition and requirement processes. JTAF assessments integrate the technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business aspects across various elements of DoD planning, including capability based planning and development, technology assessement, feasibility studies, and system acquisition processes.
Gain practical work experience in the areas of analysis, research, report writing, oral briefings, policy development, program management and computer applications related to the Air Force nuclear weapon delivery systems. Duties will include data mining; compiling and assembling data; statistical analysis; preparation and presentation of analytical results; assisting analysts in data development and use of the tools to inform ongoing analysis projects and developing presentation materials.
Must be currently pursuing a degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics or technical field from an accredited university. Must possess a passion for applying analytical methods to address complex problems, along with excellent written and oral communications skills. Must have demonstrated the ability and willingness to multi-task and be capable of applying innovative analysis to solve client problems. In addition, the ability to prepare and present complex ideas in a clear and coherent form before an audience is required. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products. US. Citizenship is required. Prior or Active DoD Secret Clearance is a Plus.
