Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering Internship

Job Type: Biomedical/Mechanical Engineer Intern

Department: Product Department

Hourly Requirements: 40/week when school is not in-session, Varies during in-session period

Length Of Project: 2-3 months

Education Required: Applicants must be concurrently enrolled in a full-time accredited university, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering

Position Description
Proteus Digital Health has created the world's most advanced health solution, integrating digitally enabled pharmaceuticals, 24/7 wearable physiologic monitors and web/mobile technologies. This position will focus on brainstorming, designing and prototyping a new mechanical form factor for a 24/7 wearable physiologic and digital pill detection monitor. The position will also include providing general mechanical engineering support.

Position Responsibilities may include
  • Brainstorming, mechanical design, prototyping, and testing of a new mechanical form factor for a 24/7 wearable prototype

  • Interfacing with rapid prototyping vendors

  • Perform verification mechanical testing

  • Bring up of MakerBot Replicator 3D printer

  • Organizing the machine shop

  • Present work to company

  • SolidWorks CAD modeling

  • Machine shop experience including manual mill and lathe

  • Experience with rapid prototyping

  • Ability to clearly communicate in English both verbally and in writing

Intern candidates must be concurrently enrolled in a full-time basis in an accredited university.
