An intern dedicated to the City of Rochester s wellness program, would be responsible for the following initiatives: increase communication of the wellness program for all employees and assist with increasing an overall excitement towards wellness at the City of Rochester. This position would create an onsite (site specific) touch/presence to help change the culture over time. This individual will work with employees to schedule and promote educational seminars and/or 1:1 Personal Health Assessment sessions. He/she will work with employees and/or family members to provide guidance and recommendations for next step wellness support. The student will be expected to serve as liaison with MVP Clinical Account Manager and the City of Rochester to complete these projects. The student will also be expected to present at corporate Wellness Committee meetings and other meetings on a regular basis to provide program progress updates. The intern must be able to travel (drive) as needed to City of Rochester offices and locations, as travel is frequent. He/she should be extremely motivated, an independent worker and possess a professional appearance and attitude at all times. The student must be able to work well independently but also as a key team member. The intern must also set high performance goals for him/herself and work hard to compile high quality deliverables. He/she must ensure adherence with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations when dealing with protected health information and any other information related to employees. Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education: Participation in Master s program in a health or wellness-related field required.
Minimum Experience: Program planning, communication development and evaluation experience preferred. Required Skills: Strong written and verbal (informal and formal) communication skills required. Must be able to drive independently throughout the service area as needed. Self-directed and motivated. Program promotional material development/design, coordination, and marketing experience preferred. Superior interpersonal skills required as student will be expected to be a solid representative of the Wellness Program. MS Office computer skills including MS Power Point, Word, Publisher, and Excel preferred. Excellent analytic and research skills preferred.
