Compensation

Position Objective

This position will learn about, and contribute to, administering and scoring tests. The intern will analyze test data to draw meaningful statistical inferences. Additionally, the intern may assist in the test development process and associated validation studies. The intern will be encouraged to identify applicable psychometric principles that could be applied to add value to the projects that they are exposed to, with the primary purpose of reinforcing academic learning and demonstrating how to apply theoretical concepts in an organizational context.

Responsibilities

Various day-to-day activities in order to learn how to multi-task and prioritize in a professional environment.

Activities may include: scheduling tests with customers; compiling and analyzing testing metrics, drafting communications to customers and organizing electronic files.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of psychometric principles related to the reliability and validity of pre-employment predictors.

Knowledge of statistical analysis.

Knowledge of EEOC employment laws; strong organizational, analytical, planning and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in MicroSoft Office Software (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)

Strong written communication skills.

Required Education/Experience

Candidate should have completed one year of graduate level coursework or three years of undergraduate level coursework in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business or related studies.

Other Information

May be required to travel to different locations.

Monthly journal entries documenting learning growth.

Participation in speaker series events.

Must complete final intern project.

Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the semester and 35 hours per week during the summer.

Must be a current matriculated student.

Selection Criteria
