The intern will log in to ACD phone line and make outgoing calls to Medicaid members to remind them to get preventive healthcare services and then assist the member with making the appointment with the provider office. The intern will document the call in maxMC (care management software). Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum Education: College courses in teaching, communications, social work or public speaking.
" Strong written and verbal (informal and formal) communication skills and customer-oriented disposition.
" Self-directed and motivated. Ability to work independently and prioritize workload to meet goals and objectives.
" Superior interpersonal skills required as student will be expected to be a solid representative of the Medicaid Program.
" Ability to motivate and persuade members to attend appointments.
" MS Office computer skills preferred.
