The Disney ABC Television Group has multiple Sales & Marketing internships based in New York, NY. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all related Fall opportunities.

Opportunities include but are not limited to:
Network Sales - ABC
The intern will perform online research to pull data and background information for use in sales materials. The intern will also attend select internal meetings and will be exposed to television, online and other cross-platform sales and research.
  • Create client briefs and executive summaries
  • Select documentation of digital invoices and data verification sources
  • Online research and preparation of articles for archiving
  • Compile competition digital video and display advertising analyses
Sales - ABC Family
  • Compete overview of competitive landspace with broadcast/cable/digital including
  • Competitive integrated marketing
  • Digital offerings (long & sport form vide, sponsorships, apps etc)
  • Competitive advertisers spending reports
  • Assist in the development of integrated marketing recaps
  • Perform historical revenue projects
  • Pull daily revenue and research reports
  • Provide assistance to department's sales assistants as needed
Disney Media Sales & Marketing
Provide support for the TV/Radio Ad Sales & Marketing team supporting Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior & Radio Disney. Responsibilities include:
  • Review and processing of Request for Proposals (RFP's)
  • Contribute to group brainstorms
  • Producing proactive one-sheets in the form of programming sell-sheets, TV stunt one-sheets & radio MEGA sweepstakes
  • Support department coordinator with managing meeting agendas, premium closets, our internal online sales tool (TINK) and media kits
  • Research competition and create competitive monitoring reports for departmental distribution
Integrated Marketing - ABC
  • Review & analyze client Request for Proposals (RFP's)
  • Participate in group brainstorms to help identify opportunities to integrate client's products into a show
  • Research competition to understand other marketplace opportunities
  • Be responsible for producing recaps based on a variety of integrations
  • Assist in the execution of promotions including drafting rules
  • Edit & digitize integrations for promotional highlight reels (Final Cut Pro skills required)
Basic Qualifications
  • All students must be eligible to work in the US
  • All students must be at least 18 years old
  • All students must be enrolled at an accredited institution -or- be a recent graduate within the last six (6) months at internship start
  • All students must be available to a minimum of 2 full work days per week (8 hours/day)
  • All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro editing software (Integrated Marketing Only)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Major or equivalent completed coursework in marketing, advertizing or communications
  • Previous internship experience within a related field (advertizing, sales, media)
  • General familiarity of current on-air content
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Keynote
  • Previous knowledge experience of media sales research tools (Nielsen, Net Ratings etc)
