SUMMARY

Lead
the internal plant Quality team to include all fabrication and assembly operations. Coordinate, direct and manage daily
activities for the department including: developing quality procedures,
processes, control plans, and standards to ensure compliance to engineering
specifications. Has responsibility for development
and implementation of internal quality initiatives to produce measurable
improvements to the Operation’s performance.

Manage
and report on quality, delivery, and other performance metrics within the plant. Support development of strategies and drive
actions to increase customer satisfaction, reduce warranty costs, and reduce
financial impacts and risks arising from poor quality.

The
following duties and/or responsibilities are performed personally or through

direct reports:

Coach
directs reports to support and motivate team to meet quality, safety,
environmental cost and delivery objectives.

·

Coordinate
and monitor training for Quality Assurance personnel.

·

Resolve
internal quality issues within the plant.
Drive and promote a culture of quality within the entire organization.

·

Work
closely with Customer Care to review and communicate external customer quality
issues and implement preventive/corrective actions.

·

Perform
system audits within the plant.

·

Support
the development of a quality strategy and its effective implementation.

·

Analyze
product specifications and report metrics to determine current capability, and develop
quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.

·

Organize/support
certification process according to ISO 9001:14001 and follow up on improvement
suggestions or corrective measures to maintain compliance.

·

Install
processes to decrease costs of poor quality, monitor effectiveness and execute
countermeasures together with cross functional departments.

·

Manage
departmental budget

·

Effectively
interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product integrity
and support driving improved timeliness of new product implementation.

·

Monitor
performance of entire organization to meet overall quality goal and objectives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION &

EXPERIENCE:
·

Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering or equivalent.

·

Min
10 years of combined experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering
functions in a manufacturing industry.

·

Technical
understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, GD&T, inspection
processes & facilities in a manufacturing environment.

·

Certified
Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.

·

Training
in SPC, ISO 9001 and Quality Engineering preferred.
