International Finance/Administrative Manager
Objective: Oversee the finance, and administrative functions of the international division. Lead the preparation, execution and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts (Income statement, Capital Expenditures, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow). Monitor and analyze performance for multiple P&L’s throughout the 3 separate regions of Latin America, Asia Pacific and Other International.
Job responsibilities: Responsible for coordinating, designing, maintaining and overseeing the development of annual budgets for territories and businesses within scope of the International Department. Ensure that all information provided by subsidiaries and licensees are compiled appropriately and accurately into the consolidated Annual Budget/Financial Forecast/Three Year Plan Prepare monthly financial reports, budget versus actual reports, budgets, and financial forecasts Examine and verify financial documents and reports, and ensure approved initiatives are accurately incorporated into budgets Analyze historical information and future projections to help guide cost allocation; evaluate alternatives and implement creative recommendations Perform scenario modeling, constant currency and sensitivity analysis for both evaluation of existing business as well as new initiatives including retail store rollouts and territory take overs Assist in building management presentations Liaison with the internal accounting staff and the financial analysts to ensure that the territories and department meet monthly closing and reporting deadlines to the US for actuals, budgets and forecasts Perform complex analytical activities, and translate analysis into useful management tools and executive summaries Provide technical assistance and training to local finance functions (both in-house and outsourced) to ensure consistency of accounting and reporting practices, corporate standards and requirements Oversee department’s legal and administration needs by acting as a liaison between the department and Volcom’s internal legal and insurance teams

Manage actual results compared to budget/forecast throughout the year Analyze revenue and expense variances relative to the approved budget Prepare monthly management reports including recommendations to ensure achievement of financial goals Develop forecasts throughout the year based on the company’s performance and provide timely communication of progress and changes to management Be a key partner for the business to assist in planning, budgeting and analyzing department expenses

Ability to:
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate budget procedures, and make recommendations for enhancing budget development process and budget documents
  • Work with other managers to resolve problems and discrepancies. Take initiative and use independent judgment, within established guidelines, in the course of undertaking assigned responsibilities
  • Adapt to changes, and manage several assignments simultaneously, set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently within established guidelines, with minimal supervision
  • Perform under deadlines, and be willing to work long hours if needed to complete projects on time
  • Lead and develop team, and effectively delegate
Skills:
  • Organized, detail-oriented, accurate, thorough, and maintains accurate records
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel abilities a must
  • Full Circle experience a plus
  • Hyperion experience a plus
Requirements: Bachelor degree or above in Finance or Accounting field with ACCA/CPA or equivalent is preferred; Master’s degree a plus Knowledge in creating business valuation models Five years of professional experience in budgeting, accounting, or related finance field Audit experience with commercial background is highly preferred especially in retail industry Knowledge of accounting, financial forecasting and budgeting principles and practices
