Engage with Product and Engineering teams to drive International requirements
Lead virtual team of QA and Internationalization architects to coordinate and deliver International tasks
Drive best practices in localization for your assigned projects and products
Deliver all of your projects on time and within budget, across all required languages and locales
Engage with translation vendors, resource allocation, and escalations for all of your projects and across all languages supported in your releases
Advise on any potential issues resulting from internationalization errors, cultural differences across new and existing languages, scheduling conflicts and interdependencies, and the prioritization of legacy bugs
Manage internal relationships with your stakeholders across engineering, product, QA, internationalization, customer advocacy/help, legal, teams as well as members of the localization team.
Manage localization budgets for your product line, forecasting future spend, calculating and reporting on current spend, and escalating budgeting issues when appropriate
Work with your functional manager to help drive process improvements, brainstorm on new market penetration, and help bring awareness of localization best practices to the larger organization
Participate in team-wide initiatives to improve tools, reporting, translation quality, vendor management, and process innovations.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
4+ years project management experience, preferably in localization or translation
BS in a technical field (CS, EE, etc) required; MA/MS preferred.
Preferable Job Qualifications:
Tech savvy: experience with computer-assisted translation tools, project management tools, MS Office. Any experience with Translation Management Systems (TMS) and industry-standard or proprietary localization management, productivity, and/or debugging tools preferred. Any experience with scripting languages or programming would be great but is not required
