Perform the following duties in Nufern's Industrial Laser Engineering Departrment:
Apply statistical tools such as Design of Experiments and ANOVA analysis for process improvement.
Benchmark products’ Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFMA) and provide improved process methods.
Conduct capacity and utilization analysis and provide recommendations to balance the production line and flow of raw materials.
Provide recommendations for improvement through Lean Six Sigma or equivalent techniques (Reducing steps, variability, travel, non-value added time, work simplification, waste elimination, etc.)
Optimize process flow for optimal material handling as well as minimize documentation and cycle time.
Work with cross functional teams to transition new products from development into manufacturing.
Senior level student pursuing Bachelors/Master’s degree in either Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
3-4 months assignment, hours 8:00-4:00 +/- one hour each day. Monday - Friday
