*** This position strongly prefers an individual with a CDL Driver's license and Inventory control experience
Unpacks and labels incoming items, sorting them in designated areas. Maintains current knowledge of stock items and there locations. Orders, controls and maintains supply inventory. Assist with JIT deliveries with priority to perpetual inventory locations
and obtains authorized signatures. Performs inventory cycle counts or other
physical inventory counts as directed. Maintain accurate records via computer system of all incoming and
outgoing supplies of department. Will promptly load truck and deliver large packages/pallets, equipment and
special medical supply deliveries to MCH off-site locations various departments and off-site warehouse.
Makes deliveries with truck for MCH special events. Maintains 24 foot Materiel Distribution truck clean and
neat. Follows all D.O.T. guidelines and regulations. Works under the supervision of the Materiel Distribution
Supervisor and under the direction of the Supply Chain Distribution Manager.
Ability to follow simple instructions to accomplish repetitive tasks.
Ability to use computer to enter and access data appropriately and be able to accurately relay information as requested.
Basic knowledge in use of computers and printers, and/or ability to learn appropriate software applications.
Can function independently with little supervision.
Displays pleasant and courteous manners at all time providing exceptional customer service.
Excellent driving skills.
Numerical and Clerical skills adequate to accurately handle departmental requisitions, purchase orders, and packing lists.
Read, write, and communicate in English and ability to communicate promptly, clearly and courteously with all hospital staff and customers.
Minimum Job Requirements: High School education. Previous experience with two and four wheel dollies, hand trucks, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, ladders, and hand tools.
Driver duties for the 24 foot box truck requires licensing for cargo vehicle with air brakes.
