Summary: Compiles records concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or enters information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.
Attends product development planning meetings.
Focal point for new item creation, BOM creation and routings for new product launches.
Maintains document control system.
Routs changes to appropriate individuals for production or inventory changes.
Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.

Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires experience with JDE and BOM.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
