Job Description:
The Inventory Specialist primary responsibility is to ensure that all IT Technology Assets in stores, DCs, and Store Support Center are properly inventoried and accounted for. They will work with multiple teams in IT and other departments as they gather and validate IT Technology Assets. In addition they will work closely with outside vendor contacts that ship, install, and return Family Dollar Assets to/from our stores and distribution centers. Their primary tool will be our Family Dollar asset tracking system along with Microsoft products such as Excel and Outlook. There is some physical labor required as IT assets are frequently delivered to customers across the Store Support Center.

Experience

§ Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

§ Strong Telephone skills

§ Good computer skills with strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

§ Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment

§ Knowledge of retail POS equipment a strong plus

§ Good understanding of accounting practices with knowledge in Asset Accounting a plus

§ Ability to promote collaboration and partnership in person and via telephone with team members at all levels

§ Working knowledge in accounting and Asset Tracking processes

§ Ability to lift 50-55 lbs. when assisting with SSC deliveries or possibly IT Shipping/Receiving

§ Good understanding of IT POS equipment and other computer equipment is a plus

§ Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
