Reports To: Senior Regional or Regional Loss Prevention Manager

Key Interactions: Human Resources, Sales Audit, Store Operations, Field Management, and Strategic Client Relationships

Position Overview:

Supports the Regional Loss Prevention Manager in conducting investigations into internal dishonesty and procedural violations and in researching cases as needed Investigations. Resolve instances of Organized Retail Theft, Fraud, and Major Internal Cases. Develop and implement region wide investigations and tactics that address identified financial risk.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Conducts Operational Assessments and provides learning to Store Associates during store visits in an assigned area of approximately 120-180 stores - focusing on the North East, South West, and Canada (Toronto)
  • Oversees associate LP learning to proactively prevent losses
  • Drives client service standards across the stores in region(s) during any assessments or store visits
  • Acts as a resource for questions on policies and procedures
  • Establishes realistic priorities, personal checkpoints, and performance indicators
  • Analyze large amounts of data and/or information to formulate plan and actions to address identified issues
  • Network with other retailers to aide in the investigation of external and internal theft
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials
  • Review several investigative software programs to identify fraud related losses
  • Utilize the internet for aide in investigative fraud
  • Participate in regional and district meetings to represent loss prevention initiatives
  • Monitor assigned target stores for shrink indicators

Decision Making Responsibilities:

Provide crisis response support to market stores for significant business disruptions

  • Ability to use a wide variety of computer software programs to assist in investigative work
  • Familiar with technologies related to surveillances and interrogation techniques
  • Systems application aptitude (PC and Server applications)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong decision making ability
  • Manages time effectively
  • Strong understanding of law enforcement and private security
  • Ability to work independently and influence work groups and individuals that are not direct reports
  • Ability to manage and coordinate large scale projects, programs, and investigations
  • Awareness of industry and governmental investigative agencies and ability to work within agency protocol
  • Ability to objectively assess facts to get to appropriate decisions
  • Strong ability to help people learn

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
  • Wicklander & Zulawski Interviwiew Training/Certification or equivalent
