SUMMARY:

It is the responsibility of the Surveillance Investigator Trainee to maintain a consistent training program on all Casino Table Games, Slots and Surveillance Standard Operating Procedures.

Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations, and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Surveillance Department policies and procedures.

Note: There are three levels or steps that Investigators must attain (Investigator, Investigator II, and Investigator III). Each step requires additional individual responsibilities, demonstrated expertise and job skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Utilize necessary equipment to identify, record, document and report
illegal and unusual activities occurring in all gaming areas, non-gaming areas, and back of the house.

Report all illegal and unusual activities to the appropriate
authorities.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Trainees are required to pass Investigator Level I within a 6 month
period or as required by the Surveillance Management team.

Trainees are required to maintain a consistent and continuous self
education program, in preparation to acquire job knowledge.

Promotes the following within the department and among all Employees:

  • Instills an atmosphere that encourages employees to share ideas,

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance systems operations or previous gaming experience preferred.

ANALYTICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to apply commonsense to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read and write. Ability to communicate in group as well as
one-on-one situations.

MATH REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all
units of measure; using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
