Description & Responsibilities:
The Atlanta office of Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (“PMCC”) is actively seeking a highly-motivated, recent college graduate from top undergraduate programs to join the Portfolio Surveillance group as an Investment Analyst. The analyst will focus on 1) monitoring PMCC's General Account, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Balance Sheet, and Institutional portfolios for potential risks, 2) identifying nationwide market trends for core property types, and 3) presenting credit analysis for high risk loans to senior management. The Real Estate Investment Analyst position is typically a three-year assignment. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to learn and develop a broad range of financial, credit, real estate underwriting and analytical skills.
Analyze the credit risk of a wide variety of real estate loans which includes property valuation, market analysis, rent roll analysis, and property cashflow analysis. The analysis also includes a proprietary rating system that assesses potential risks associated with real estate loans.
Present analysis for high risk loans, both written and verbal communication, to Senior Management
Manage the surveillance process for specific loan portfolios. The real estate analyst will be the team leader for a specific portfolio.
Interact professionally with internal credit, finance, and loan origination personnel, and externally with borrowers and third party vendors.

Requirements and Skills
Bachelor's degree required, preferably from a top undergraduate program. A concentration/major with a focused major preferably in finance, economics, real estate, or engineering
Strong quantitative skills and established analytical ability
Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate
Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability
Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong interpersonal/communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
