Coursework and/or experience in journalism, science communications or environmental studies.
Prefer students who will be juniors or seniors at the University of Minnesota in 2013 - 14.
Tasks performed in this position are entry level in nature. Duties may include (but are not limited to) entry-level writing/editing/proofing for IonE website, blogs and press releases; reading proofs and fact-checking Ensia content; reporting and writing stories about IonE-affiliated faculty and projects; gathering information for and helping write content for Ensia and other IonE publications and media; generating ideas for articles; doing background research for infographics; and providing content for social media.
Temporary position, 6/1/13 - 8/31/13 @ $11/hr, 15 hours per week, with potential for continuing into the fall.
