Financial Services company is looking for a JBOSS/Websphere Administrator for their Greenwich, CT location.
Job Description: Web Administrator will support all of our client's day to day websites. The team regularly performs installation, configuration, maintenance, and problem determination of the company's web environments. The group usually drives the investigation when any issues arise with the websites. Other tasks assigned include:
Install, configure, customize, and maintain WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Commerce Server, IBM Content Manager, and other Open Source environments
Perform problem determination and performance tuning of applications
Create scripts to schedule repetitive, detailed, or off-hour tasks
Stay informed of current and future releases and enhancements of Application Server software, HTTP server software, and security releases
Manage interactions with fellow coworkers and vendor organizations
Support production environments
Maintain current security requirements and software level for
Assist development staff with new application implementation and problem resolution.
The following skills are crucial for the web administration team members:
WebSphere/JBoss/WebLogic/TomCat/other app server
Knowledge of DB2 a plus
Performance tuning and enablement knowledge a plus
Understanding of Highly Available Architectures
Desire to analyze problems, propose solutions, and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
Ability to deal with changing priorities and multi-task several projects.
Drive to learn new technologies
Willingness to help others
