SAIC's Mission Support Business Unit is soliciting resumes for an IT / Audio Visual Specialist to support our customer in Quantico, VA. This position supports IT and AV teams in resolving equipment issues to support curriculum delivery, acts as a liaison with headquarters-level personnel to implement policy and procedures at a customer site and assists in reviewing plans and documentation for the purpose of providing improved support to educational support services.

JOB DESCRIPTION (SPECIFIC): The successful candidate will assist the government IT and AV teams in providing support to resolve customer IT and AV equipment issues. Will act as the first responder to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve student and staff IT and AV issues, to the exent that headquarters policy guidance allows. Candidate will follow established government procedures for submitting Help Desk tickets and will track issues to resolution. Acts as a liaison for IT issues as a trusted agent for burning CDs and moving data between domains, and serves as the POC for ensuring customer compliance to all policies and instructions for IT. Will assist in creating plans and documentation for the purpose of software application testing and implementation, such as System Securing Plan (SSP). Works as an integrated member of the team and responds to scheduled and ad hoc tasks.
JOB DESCRIPTION (GENERAL): This family performs the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems. Day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in heterogeneous environment. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisition and upgrades. May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization's computer users about basic and specialized applications. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.) Having the knowledge and experience to be able to handle unusual and seldom occurring job events. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current Top Secret security clearance with current SCI access. Associate’s degree. 5 years of experience; experience working in an educational setting as a member of team; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; flexible and able to respond to changing guidance quickly; ability to manage work and deliver on schedule with minimum guidance.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline is preferred. Understanding of DoD and IC structures.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school education or equivalent and 6+ years of related experience.
