The Northrop Grumman Special Projects is looking for a hands-on software engineer with experience working in a process-oriented software development environment.
This position is for a
. The successful candidate will be responsible for software development tasks, which includes requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, and integration. Must be familiar with development tools such as IDEs, UML modeling products and configuration control and defect tracking systems. The successful candidate will have the ability to document software design with standard modeling tools and techniques (e.g. UML). Candidate must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple tasks in parallel, and must possess strong verbal/written communication skills.( SOWNG )
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus a minimum of 5 years experience, at least 3 of which is in developing enterprise solutions for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) in a SOA environment. Experience required in object oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML and related technologies (i.e., XPath, XSLT, XSD). Must understand unit testing, including path, line, and bound coverage. Applicant must be familiar with SEI CMM/CMMI, IEEE or military standard software engineering practices. Requires US citizenship and current DoD Top Secret clearance or an SSBI with the ability to be cleared to a special access program.
Master’s degree in Computer Science; Experience with application servers (e.g., GlassFish, WebLogic, JBoss, etc), continuous integration, EJBs, or JAXB. Experience with binary and hexadecimal numbers and conversions.
