Job Description:

Avaya Government Solutions has an opening for a
Java/J2EE WebSphere Portal Developer located in
Washington, DC.
Specialized experience for the position: The chosen
candidate will assist our client in architecting
messaging solutions for the Federal Judiciary. The ideal
candidate will be proficient in Java development for
portals, or J2EE Development, including WebSphere
Portlet development, Java Server Faces (JSF), Servlet
development, Web Application development, Rational
Application Developer 7.x or Eclipse 3.x; Web Services
development utilizing Java on a Tomcat/JBOSS
infrastructure; Spring and Hibernate experience within a
portal environment; and PeopleSoft Integration
experience through PeopleSoft CI for SOAP based Web
Services.
Functional Responsibility: Provides technical and
administrative direction for tasks, including review of
work products for correctness, compliance with industry
accepted standards, FTS standards, and user standards.
This position is located close to Union Station for easy
commuting.
Job Requirements: Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
Experience: 5-10 yrs
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelors degree and eight
(8) years of progressive IT experience including at
least five projects in technical areas listed above. At
least one project must have occurred within the past (3)
years.
