The Javascript/ Java Integration Developer will develop, test, debug, maintain and document the integration of various hospital information systems. The developer will assist with technical systems analysis, systems design, and systems maintenance as well as computer program implementation.

Responsible for managing the full development cycle of all enterprise integration, including the creation of formal functional requirements, technical design specs, development of quality test plans, interface thread programming, and interface implementation and maintenance. Work with 3rd party vendors/sites to implement and test data transmissions

Using HMS interface engine, configure, connect, install, support and maintain interfaces to communicate

Develop, test and implement interfaces using the Mirth Connect interface engine tool set

Responsible for all integration activity including, but not limited to HL7, X12, Flat Record Layout, SQL file downloads and transfers

Conduct moderate to complex analysis and design tasks for the development of interface systems

Perform complex programming in the development and implementation of interface systems with emphasis on minimizing support and maintenance requirements

Work with other systems programmers to minimize design and application program risks associated with interface implementation

Assist with technical systems analysis, systems design, and systems maintenance as well as computer program implementation

Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with ongoing interaction / communication with users, vendors, analysts and outside team members

Adopt, promote, and actively contribute to the continuous process improvement of the Interoperability and Integration division

Implementing interfaces ensuring integrity of data and minimizing disruption to customers

Provide technical advice to project managers and team leaders

Analyze, identify and eliminate interface and computer problems, inconsistencies and abnormal results. Document all work performed following department policies and procedures

Work with the Interoperability and Integration team to develop and enforce standardized methodology for the development of interface systems

Monitor accuracy of interfaces and computer output and data integrity of databases

Work closely with others to ensure that synchronization of data occurs with interfaced application systems

Troubleshoot malfunctions of the interface engine, software components and interface threads, computer hardware and software to identify and alleviate users' problems

Write computer programs to produce ad hoc and other reports using report writers such as SQL as requested by users and to resolve user needs not met by current in-house software functionality

Read and interpret reference and instruction manuals to determine procedures and processes to accurately use computer software and to resolve problems

Experience in relational databases, writing queries and stored procedures
Required Education and Training

Must possess ability to implement process improvement ideas

Requires a minimum of three years in the development, maintenance and analysis of interfaces, applications, programs, systems and support

Mirth Interface engine experience a plus

A programming language such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, HL7 protocol and Linux operating system

Three to five years of healthcare experience is required

Five years appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of education

Licensure/Credentials: Certification Mirth Connect

Preferred bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills

Must be able to efficiently and independently manage projects and issues

Must possess and have proven problem resolution skills

Good interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate in both writing and verbally

Must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task

Ability to demonstrate supportive relationships with peers, clients, partners, and corporate executives

Must be flexible and work with a high level of initiative

Must have the ability to remain professional under high pressure situations

Ability to retain and protect confidential material

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
