The purpose of our Joint Venture programs is to return superior profitability and consistent brand execution through the development of high-quality people. Candidates for a JVDM position must possess the ability and characteristics to move into a Director level Joint Venture Partner (JVP) role.
Proactively manages performance through regular one-on-one coaching, assistance in developing and reviewing progress on development plans, recognizing accomplishments, and making impartial reward decisions
Accurately assesses the strengths and weaknesses of direct reports, provides specific, timely, behavioral feedback to help identify areas in which improvement is needed
Manages the succession planning process by identifying high performers, delegating projects, providing and giving visibility to direct reports' accomplishments
Demonstrates effective partnership management skills including relationship building, involving stakeholders, problem solving, and negotiating
Takes responsibility for "quality control" to achieve operational standards
Demonstrates excellent understanding of profit and loss analysis, diagnoses reasons for problems, and develops action plans to improve results
Uses systems, administrative processes and metrics to perform "gap analysis"
Understands the financial drivers of the business and uses them in making informed and sound decisions that drive the business
Uses resources such as Operations leadership, Support Center departments, and Human Resources, to educate as well as expand management and administrative skills in others
Solicits feedback on personal performance from supervisors, peers, and subordinates
Effectively and timely manages the human resource requests from associates in partnership with the Human Resources Manager
Proven track record for building effect teams, hiring, developing, and motivating management teams, shift supervisors, and associates
A courageous leader whom makes good decisions and is an expert at setting priorities.
Metrics at or exceeding Multi Unit qualifications and company standards/expectations around sales, transaction growth, catering, OEA (Operational) audit, Warmth Survey Engagement Score (Associate Satisfaction Survey), Internal Promotions, Turnover, and customer satisfaction
A leader who champions operational integrity, our Cultural Values, Concept Essence, and Panera Warmth
Entrepreneurial instincts with ability to operate within Panera's system and seek out appropriate resources when needed
An uncompromising sense of right and wrong
Mature (self-reliant, self-critical, and self-motivating)

3 plus years of Multi-Unit Restaurant Operations experience
Demonstrated interest in self development
