Assists Buyers in procuring quality material by processing Requisitions into POs;
Assists Buyers in completing and updating supplier Capacity Assessments;
Assists Buyers in resolving invoice Price Block issues with suppliers and AP dept;
Assists Buyers in managing and maintaining lead times, lot sizes, MOQs, etc;
Troubleshoots to resolve issues relating to assigned vendors and their parts;
Assists in coordinating execution of engineering changes affecting purchased material;
Assists Buyers in obtaining pricing from suppliers in response to Cost Requests
Input supplier quotations into SAP info record and provide response to Request Log;
Reviews supplier quotations for exceptions to EMD drawings and request approval from EMD engineering;
Works and completes special projects as needed
Required Qualifications -
College graduate with minimum 4 year degree in related field;
Minimum 1 year experience in material procurement;
Working knowledge of SAP and supply chain processes;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Analytical ability and complex problem solving skills;
Self-starter with initiative; ability to function with minimal supervision;
High level of interpersonal skills to work within team environment;
Preferred Qualifications -
Knowledge of highly engineered commodities: Electro-Mechanical & Electronics
Proficient computer knowledge; MS Office
Ability to read Engineering prints and understand basic Engineering documents
