Ke`aki Technologies, LLC, has an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Help Desk position. The position will be located at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/ operational needs, satisfactory work performance, and availability of funds.

Duties: Provide support in resolution of technical operational problems of approximately 9,000 end user devices which include desktop computers, printers, scanners, and decentralized healthcare systems . Provide support to resolve computer related problems (hardware and software) and restore operability to systems. Systems include centrally managed as well as decentralized computer systems to include desktop computers, printers, and scanners. Work in conjunction with central computer operations staff in the Data Processing Center (DPC) or main computer room when required. Provide support in the initial installation, implementation, and management of desktop computers, top-down application software, and commercial off-the-shelf software packages. Provide support and training on basic desktop operations and applications software. Monitor and insure operability of major healthcare systems to include the Composite Health Care System (CHCS), AHLTA (CHCS II), and Clinical Inpatient System (CIS)/Essentris and directly supports central computer operations staff in detection, escalation, and resolution of problems. Perform computer room backups and restores when required. Works in conjunction with Integrated Technical Center (ITC) staff, Chief of the ITC, and the Enterprise System Management (ESM) manager to insure Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) compliance on decentralized and central systems. Provide support to IMD personnel with any Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) documentation. In a high volume environment, must utilize approved and established triage procedures and required documentation practices; and analyze reported symptoms to determine the core problem quickly and accurately, especially when dealing with critical business system outages that affect staff productivity. Maintain a professional and courteous approach to customer service when interfacing with all levels of customers from support staff to managers as well as co-workers.

Consistently meets assignments to close trouble tickets of varying degrees of complexity. Utilizes knowledgebase for issues resolution and where appropriate assists with maintenance and updating of content for use by other team members. Contacts and documents any problems/concerns with users. When necessary, escalates technical support requests to Senior Technicians and Lead Technicians. Perform other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:
Up to one (1) year related experience

Abilities/Knowledge/Skills:
Must obtain IA certification requirements from the CompTIA program as required by the Government (A+ Certification) and to maintain current requirements thereafter.

Must obtain Tuberculosis (TB) and MMR vaccinations prior to the date of hire and maintain TB vaccination annually or as required by the hospital.

Physical Demands:
Requires the ability to manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.

Requires good hand-eye coordination; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and use a keyboard and mouse.

Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.

May require to sit for long periods

Clearance required: Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
