This position will assist with the development and implementation of long- and short-term strategies, marketing plans, new products, and sales programs in order to achieve corporate profit, sales and market share objectives.
Marketing Strategy & Research:
Collaborate with the Marketing Director and team to develop the annual marketing plan, including budget tracking and anticipated spend.
Perform qualitative research and quantitative analysis to support business development ideas or strategies; conduct data analysis to identify revenue-enhancing (or cost reduction) strategies as needed. These could include extensive market research on new products, industry trends, and new markets.
Assist in developing, coordinating and executing marketing and sales programs to increase leads/sales.
Organize, set-up, and manage meeting agendas, attendees and scheduling.
Proactively manage project timelines, collaborate with cross functional departments on their work and deadlines, monitor project progress to anticipate issues, and constant follow-up with multiple parties through email, phone, and meetings to ensure projects are on track.
Evaluate project post-implementation status, analyze and propose recommendations for improvement.
Analytics, Reports & Presentations:
Monitor and analyze company performance and competitive environment.
Conduct competitive analysis, including heavy research on competitors' activities, services and pricing; request competitors' marketing materials; maintain historical pricing data on the organization.
Heavy usage of MS Excel and PowerPoint to produce monthly reports, track promotions, and analyze sales and trends.
Assist in writing website requirements, interact closely with and support development team, perform heavy repetitive website testing, manage documentation, track issues, etc.
Manage minor website maintenance: banner ads, updating links, writing content, etc.
General print & online marketing:
Familiarity or ability to work with 3rd party vendors to manage SEO, PPC, Google Analytics, etc.
Familiarity with social media outlets: Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Email marketing: draft marketing emails, manage send lists and schedules, track client responses, etc.
Assist with development of sales collateral and marketing materials; coordinate marketing updates for telephone on-hold messages.
Manage marketing promotions and discount programs, mailings, and surveys.
Attend events/tradeshows as needed.
Other ad-hoc duties and projects as required.
