Job Title/Rank: Kehr Union Building Operations and Facility Manager
State University Administrator 1 (SUA 1)
Position Description: Direct and supervise the operations and administration of the Kehr Union and its programs, services, facilities and personnel. Work schedule includes weeknight periods when the facility is in operation after 3:30 p.m., weekends and holidays, or as otherwise assigned. At times, the work schedule is activity based. Attendance of some daytime meetings may be necessary.
Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. Ability to organize, direct, and supervise activities and operations is required. Knowledge of leadership training concepts and employee training methods preferred. Demonstrated effectiveness with diverse populations is required. Demonstrated experience in supervising social, cultural and/or educational activities preferred. Finalist(s) for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview.
Applicants will be rated on the following criteria:
1) Ability to supervise a student work force of 50-60 part-time student employees.
2) Experience in supervising social, cultural and/or educational activities.
3) Experience working with diverse groups or individuals.
4) Work experience requiring interpersonal skills.
5) Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
6) Technical skills are desirable.
Term of Appointment:
Temporary full-time through May 18, 2013 with a possible extension
Work schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 3:30-11:30 PM
Appointment Date: January, 2013
Salary: $19.23 per hour
