Duties typical of reception positions will be performed on a daily basis - answer phones, greet customers, respond to inquiries, sort mail, photocopy jobs, and initiate and reconcile transactions for the majority of our department accounts. Accurate typing is required. Tasks must be prioritized and performed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. Must be able to work well independently and with a variety of people. Must be able to identify and resolve problems and perform other duties and tasks as necessary. Incumbent must be familiar with and be comfortable working with email, the Microsoft Office suite, and PDF documents.
1. Transfer Eligibility Requirement: you must have a current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title. 2. Reassignment Requirement: You must hold the same title at the University at Buffalo. 3. Reinstatement Requirement: You must be a former state employee to request reinstatement to the title that was held (or transferable title).

Must either have experience with or be very comfortable working in a fast-paced and discreet office setting.
