Position conditional upon contract award. Provide support to the MCoE, G3, Knowledge management section. Provide staff augmentation support to the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) Knowledge Management (KM) directorate, under the direction of the Chief Knowledge Officer.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Advises organizations on Knowledge Management (KM) strategies and approaches, develops KM plan and strategies, leads efforts to assess and create solutions based on organizational needs, recommends tools and processes that improve work-flow and sharing across the organization, and promotes good Content Management principles. Drives continuous improvement in existing KM components, captures and shares best practices, and provides KM thought leadership and collaboration cross-functionally. Supports the Army Learning Concept 2015 and teams with IT/Share-Point specialists to implement adopted KM concepts. All work will be performed across four broad work areas: 1) Life Long Learning, 2) Lessons Learned information management, 3) KM education, 4) General services. Individuals must be able to take a concept provided to them by a customer, develop a flow plan for it, and independently manage its development from start to finish.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college plus five years KM or a related field experience. Knowledge of the Army is preferred but not required. Understanding of Knowledge Management. Knowledge of MS Share-Point, Adobe Connect, Army Knowledge On-line (AKO), MS Office, mil-Suite, and Army Professional Forums desired. Desired Certifications: Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) through the KM Professional Society, KM Institute, or other recognized certifying body. An advanced degree in Knowledge Management satisfies these requirements.
Ability to work in an office environment at Ft. Benning for extended periods of time.
Ability to work a 40 hour week, Monday thru Friday and occasionally on weekends.
Ability to travel.
Ability to follow written and oral directions.
