The Kronos Functional Systems Analyst is responsible for assisting with the parallel testing reconciliation process for each Health Ministry prior to their go-live. The team member will report to the Reconciliation Team Lead. This position includes, but not limited to:
assisting the lead with creating kick-off meeting for parallel testing (payroll simulation)
customizing the approach for each Health Ministry and assisting with training the Health Ministries on the reconciliation process with specific emphasis on Kronos Time & Attendance
defining the process that is specific to an Health Ministry, if different
reviewing recon spreadsheets – earnings specific to Time & Attendance
root causing the differences in pay back through Time & Attendance
managing defect
managing issues and risks associated with completing recon on time
resolving differences and communicating those differences where it’s acceptable
making Kronos configuration changes as needed
executing/validating system tests as needed when defects are resolved
providing input into functional designs, configuration, processes and training materials
researching policies, processes, regulatory requirements and system solutions as needed
assisting with communication of acceptable differences
creating designs and white papers
In addition, this position will include overall Kronos functional system support as needed including configuration, process, communication, policy, issue resolution, compliance, writing/running queries, executing Kronos tests and supporting the Health Ministries and Ministry Service Center during go-live / cutover.

Under the direction of the Reconciliation Team Lead, Finance, Symphony, assists with the activities that result in a successful Payroll simulation and dress rehearsal process prior to go live and deployment.

The incumbent ensures that the systems, processes, policies, services, and programs within his/her scope of responsibility meet Ascension Health’s specifications and quality and service standards. Also ensures that project initiatives meet all local, state, and federal statutory and legal requirements.

Incumbent possesses an expert level of understanding of all of the system and business processes of the function they represent: Kronos Time and Attendance.

Develops, documents and reviews business process and system design Identifies opportunities for process improvement and makes recommendations that lead to improvements Escalates to Payroll and Time and Attendance Team Leads process and project issues that cannot be resolved Successfully develops and documenst areas of the parallel testing process/approach Provides subject-matter expertise of Health Ministry and Ministry Service Center processes, system solutions, policies and requirements in support of functional area process design, functional system design, testing and implementation Co-ordinates with other team members to assure consistency and optimization of overall work product Partially drives the kick-off meeting for parallel testing (payroll simulation) Customizes the approach for each Health Ministry and training the Health Ministries on the recon process Assists in defining the testing process that is specific to an Health Ministry, if different Assists in defining/communicating roles and responsibilities across the Health Ministries and within the core team Assists in reconciling the differences in a parallel payroll run and/or dress rehearsal and/or any payroll test Root Causes the differences in pay Assists in managing functional system defects Assists in managing issues and risks associated with completing recon on time Resolves differences in pay and communicates those differences where it’s acceptable Performs all work with a direct reflection of the Mission, Vision and Values of Ascension Health Promotes, exemplifies and supports the Ascension Health Core Values of Service of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity, and Dedication Pe rforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned

B.S. in Business or related field, or the equivalent, is required
5 -7 years of relevant experience in Time & Attendance is required
5 -7 years of relevant experience in Kronos is required
5 -7 years of relevant experience in PeopleSoft HCM and/or Kronos Time & Attendance projects
Prior experience in PeopleSoft Payroll/ERP/Kronos large scale implementations highly required
Prior experience in Payroll/Time and Attendance/ERP implementations or large scale projects highly desirable

Application expert in Kronos
Experience in PeopleSoft and/or Kronos project implementation
Experience in PeopleSoft Payroll and/or Kronos parallel testing
Expert in Time & Attendance
Expert in payroll desired
PeopleSoft application experience desired
Ability to run software tests in Kronos to produce payroll files
Understanding and participate in the end to end reconciliation process of PeopleSoft payroll and Kronos Time & Attendance
Ability to translate current processes and policies into Kronos solutions
Kronos database functional expertise in understanding data
Ability to write queries/reports to pull out data from Kronos
Understanding of environments at a high level
Understanding of Symphony solution
Ability to configure Kronos Time & Attendance

Working knowledge of:
Time and Attendance
Critical thinking, strong analytical skills and business acumen needed to make decisions, solve problems and manage time
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent planning, organizational, and decision-making skills required
Ability to grasp technological opportunities and apply them to business opportunities and requirements (and vice versa)

Proficient in all MicroSoft Products: WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and VISIO
