Provide courier services, Correctly identifies patients and collects appropriate specimens via capillary, venipuncture and throat swabbing techniques according to laboratory policy. Maintains documentation relating to specimen collection and patient preparation and processing. Communicates requested laboratory results via phone/fax/mail . Assists testing personnel with computer order entry, setting up microbiology culture specimens, processing specimens for transport to reference labs, performing CLIA waived testing. Assisting front office personnel with clerical functions and phone duties. Assists with the collection, documentation and report distribution of special procedures (i.e., drug screens, etc.). .
      Education & Experience:

      High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

      Licensure, Certification & Registration

      . Must have current Phlebotomy Certification or a minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience. Must hold a current certificate in C.P.R. or become CPR certified within 90 days of hire. M ust have proof of liability insurance, valid drivers license, an acceptable driving record and dependable transportation.
