Coordinates the planning, installation, maintenance and operation of the Credit Union's telecommunications systems and LAN/WAN equipment. Responsible for developing and maintaining the disaster recovery program and business recovery plan for telecommunications and LAN/WAN infrastructure. Responsible for managing licensing and maintenance for our telecommunications and LAN/WAN systems. Manages circuit adds, moves, and disconnects.

Primary job responsibilities include the day to day administration of the Credit Unions Cisco based LAN/WAN and VoIP infrastructure. This infrastructure includes all models of Cisco routers and switches along with Cisco UCM, Unity, Emergency Responder and UCCX. Secondary job duties include the day to day administration of the Credit Unions Firewalls, Wireless and VPN infrastructure.
Monitors telecom VoIP system performance to assure dependable and uninterrupted operation of telephone communications (Call Manager, E911).
Maintains call recording, voicemail system (Unity), call center call flow system (IPCC), IVR, and VRU.
Maintains analog lines for security, fax & modem.
Support includes designing, implementing, and maintaining, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPN, Linux administration, network monitoring, domain & cert administration, and UPS management.
Data Center maintenance coordinator.
Purchases and schedules the installation of telephone systems at new and existing sites: including: routers, switches, phones, voice and data circuits and any wireless backup equipment.
Provides technical assistance to end users, troubleshoots and resolves configuration problems and makes software revisions to systems. Monitors downtime and system performance of VoIP system, IVR, VRU and Voicemail. Maintains scripting on contact center systems, monitors alarms on equipment and ensures maximum uptime.
LAN/WAN Administration. This includes MPLS network and associated QoS for VoIP transmissions across MPLS network.
Public DNS Administration using Linux/bind.
Wireless Communications Administration using Cisco AP and Controllers.
Firewall Administration using Cisco Firewall Service Module
Core layer 3 switch administration on Cisco 6500’s.
VPN Remote Access System Administration using Cisco ASA.
Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Telecommunication Administration & Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity LAN/WAN.
Schedules and coordinates repairs and upgrades to equipment with vendors and users.
Assists in preparation of annual telephone system budget and forecasts, and tracks equipment inventory, costs and billing.
Maintains records and resolves billing issues with vendors.
Coordinates with other departments to understand and meet their telecommunication requirements.
Negotiates contracts and selects vendors to provide telecommunication services to the Credit Union, and monitors vendor performance.
