The Learning Center for Collaborative Care is the opportunity for a LPN to transition to a nursing position in the Collaborative Care environment. This transition will include multi-disciplinary classroom learning, simulation, and an individualized preceptorship with an expert preceptor.
While in the Learning Center the team will work with the LPN to determine unit placement at either Appleton Medical Center or ThedaClark. Units available include:
New graduates are eligible to apply a maximum of three months prior to their graduation date.
Experienced LPNs can submit their application at any time.
Our hiring process begins with a phone interview with our Human Resources Employment Specialist. Select candidates will be moved forward to the team interview which are held on a monthly basis. Prior to the team interview candidates will be scheduled for a job shadow on an inpatient unit at either ThedaClark or Appleton Medical Center.
Candidates will be notified of the hiring decision the same day of the team interview.
Valid WI LPN licensure or eligible to test for a LPN license. Current BLS Certification.
The Human Resources Employment Specialist will only contact those candidates with a completed application which consists of the on-line application and two assessment forms.
New graduates must have at least one of the assessment forms completed by a clinical instructor.
Experienced LPNs must have at least one of the assessment forms completed by a manager or provide a copy of their last performance evaluation. (Click on the link below for a copy of the assessment form.)
