Under the supervision of the designated supervisor, serves as lead clinical support for the physician practice and performs duties associated with direct patient care and clinical direction to provide patient care given in accordance with the organization standards. Assures completeness of ordered procedures and treatments, instructs patients concerning procedures, treatments and needs and ensures medical orders are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. Provides coordination of administrative services to ensure smooth operation of payroll process. QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires ability to organize and process a high volume of work within established standards.
Requires ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
Requires the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and development levels of the patients served.
Requires knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
Requires knowledge of the performance assessment and improvement plan for the care center/unit.
Requries 1-2 years ambulatory practice experience.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Requires ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks.
Requires familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies and the knowledge of procedures for use.
Requires basic understanding of the concepts of aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent spread of infection to patients; self; and others.
Requires sufficient knowledge to observe and collect data for the assessment of patient's condition; and to detect; report and document obvious and/or dangerous changes in the patient's condition.
Requires general awareness and understanding of legal implication of patient care activities.
Requires ability to explain instructions in simple terminology.
Requires current LPN license in State of Indiana.
Requires graduation from an accredited LPN program.
Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required by AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
