Role: Indeed Labs Hacker
Indeed Labs is the advanced guard of Indeed's Product team. We are an R&D team that helps envision the future of Indeed's products via rapid prototyping, iteration and invention. As an Indeed Labs Hacker, your work will help us rapidly explore new capabilities and help guide product definition and design work.
Responsibilities:
Develop functional prototypes and experiential concepts to enable iterative evaluative research.
Collaborate with designers, product managers and engineers to define/refine product experiences.
Connect with the user interface/interaction community to track and contribute to the latest technologies and techniques.
We're looking for someone who:
Is intellectually curious, creative, inventive.
Is passionate about technology innovation.
Has strong opinions and makes them heard.
Would rather ask for forgiveness than permission.
Has a passion for consumer web applications and search engines.
Understands the end user and can create simple, elegant solutions.
Is able to make business decisions based on metrics and an understanding of all relevant data.
Has fluency in a rapid application development framework (Django, Rails, etc)
Has demonstrable experience bending web technology to their will
Requirements:
BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent).
At least 3 years of experience developing in relevant web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS/Frameworks/Databases).
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A deep desire to apply design and technology toward expanding what's possible and improving the world.
Previous entrepreneurial / start-up experience a plus.
Experience with search, online advertising, content aggregation, location, and/or mobile applications a plus.
