Description: The sales associate designs and/or estimates landscape and irrigation projects. Manages projects by supervising crews and if necessary working on site to complete projects. Train work force as to produce work equal or exceeding company standards. Enforce all policies in company personnel handbook. Maintain product availability by ordering and organizing as required. A Landscape or Horticulture degree from a technical school or college is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, financial reports, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate with other employees in English. Ability to communicate in Spanish or willing to learn helpful.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Sells and designs both landscape and irrigation projects. Includes new installation, repair work, refurbish work and refers maintenance work.
-Prepare appropriate proposals bids, signed agreements, invoices and all other appropriate documents.
-Procure down payments and final payments.
-Visit both residential and commercial potential customers to sell projects.
-Visit both residential and commercial customers to confer and provide guidance to Ongoing projects.
-Studies traditional, period and contemporary design styles to broaden perspective.
-Reviews market trends and preferences of clients.
-Integrates findings with personal interests, knowledge of design, and limitations presented by methods and materials.
-Creates, draws, and modifies plans to achieve desired effect.
-Confers with supervisor and/or customer for approval of any changes, obtains customers signature on all Change Orders.
-Assist office staff in maintaining all property records of clients in Clip or Active accounting software.
-Performs scheduling, material procurement, mobilizing of crew and/or equipment and other related duties when necessary.
-Participate in management and marketing meetings as required.
-Attend trade shows or other industry functions as appropriate.
-Continue to collect knowledge required.
-Any other related duties as required.
