Our Lewiston office has a new career opportunity for candidates who are dedicated to excellence! Our busy medical billing office is located in Lewiston in the Fairgrounds Business Park at 19 Mollison Way.
This position will be responsible for maintaining smooth day to day operations of the team as well conduct employee training and communicate with manager on team progress or problems. This is a hands-on position that will also have the team lead performing daily A/R responsibilities.
This Lead A/R specialist position will be responsible for:
Follow up of outstanding A/R all payers and/or including self pay and/or including resolution of denials.
Handling all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability.
Responsible for reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports.
Will research and resolve accounts as directed by management making appropriate decisions on accounts to be worked to maximize reimbursement.
5+ years of work experience
Medical billing and research expereince is required
Must possess excellent understanding of the A/R process; capable of training others and answering questions from c o-workers when necessary;
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior level clients;
High level of computer literacy with command of office software including excel spreadsheets;
Good knowledge of healthcare, government and/or insurance industry;
May fill in for supervisor in their absence;
Must be organized, detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently and work well with others.
Demonstratred leadership skills and abilities.
High school diploma or equivalent
