The Lead Accountant will be responsible for executing key finance and accounting activities in a high volume and complex environment as well as driving operational engagement to timely and accurately resolve issues and improve controllership.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Completion of complex account reconciliations – banking, intercompany, receivables, tax liabilities/receivables, etc.
  • Management of open items with operational counterparts to ensure timely and accurate clearing and avoidance of aging and unreconciled accounts.
  • Prepare balance sheet analysis and cash forecasting activities.
  • Perform month end/quarter close accounting activities.
  • Participate in team efforts to close the books and report the results during period closes.
  • Interact with various customers to clarify accounting requirements, support customer reporting needs and help acclimate new customers to Pay & Benefits financial processes.
  • Support intercompany billing activities including customer inquiries, Due To/Due From variances, billing table updates, operational metrics and escalations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues.
  • Develop accounting solutions to transactional process issues in coordination with operations, accounting leadership and business controllers.
  • Drive completion of special projects to enhance controllership, compliance, and to ensure best in class (accurate, timely, repeatable, and sustainable) financial processes.
  • Key contact for Corporate and external auditors.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • Strong PC skills - proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    Eligibility Requirements:

  • MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • MUST be willing to travel up to 5% of the time.
