Responsible for leading & executing general reserve model validation and closing/reporting simplification within the GE Capital Americas Risk Controllership COE. Assist with closing and reporting process for general and specific reserves for the Commercial Distribution Finance and Equipment Finance business platforms. Develop repeatable regulatory reporting processes as requirements continue to evolve.
Ensure proper accounting and controls in area of focus (i.e. external reporting, cash settlement, client management, closing & reporting).
Identify controllership simplification and process improvement opportunities.
Prepare account reconciliations and execute on quarterly close tasks.
Coordinate with controllership and finance teams.
Review and conduct analysis of financial statements.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of finance or accounting experience (OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma/GED with 6 years of finance or accounting experience OR equivalent military experience/training)
Proficient use of financial systems and Microsoft Office (eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
Financial services industry experience
Graduate of GE Leadership Program, such as Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS), or current GE Leadership Program employee graduating with the upcoming class
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
