The Lead Business Analyst will work with business senior management in one or more business segment and corporate staff executives to align technology solutions with business strategies. Demonstrates breadth and in-depth knowledge of a business area to identify and communicate how IT solutions can add value
This position will primarily support product development and sourcing initiatives. This position will primarily support Marketing-CRM, Ecommerce, Social Media and Omni-Channel initiatives

Primary Responsibilities:
Works with business leaders and acts as a liaison between IT and business units (typically leadership for assigned business units) or vendors. Viewed as integral to the business in any decisions that may be impacted by technology
Acts as a business relationship manager responsible for the collection, analysis, review, documentation and communication of business needs and requirements to the IT organization
Leads the gathering of business needs as well as the design of solutions through direct interaction with business unit leaders. Focuses on developing and improving business processes at all times, assisting with the development of metrics, both within the technology and business organizations. Has a strong understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the business, and the short- and long-term direction of the business and technology
Identifies, proposes and influences business solutions, negotiates deliverables and requirements across multiple business customers or organizations
Ensures that the design and integration of proposed system, software and hardware solutions leads to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology. Integrally involved in ‘buy versus build' decisions

Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint, MS Project & MS Visio
Good working knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting & basic Java SDK Development
Typically has 7 to 10 years of relevant technical and business work experience and enjoys being involved in both technical and functional design solutions
Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders from senior business leaders to IT staff
Define, review and assist tech team with understanding requirements, impact to existing systems, and impact to business processes and procedures
May be required to analyze and review business requirements for the development and implementation of business systems solutions. (Concept Documents, Business Requirements, Use Cases, Test Cases/Scripts, Process Flows)
Prepare formal presentations, written reports and general project specifications as required
Prepare change control documentation, preparation of related process documentation, and coordination of user acceptance testing
At least 5 years experience within the retail industry and at least two years working with third party service providers in ecommerce such as GSI, Amazon, Speed, Fry etc.
Experience working with CRM third party providers such as axiom, Allant etc.
Candidate should have experience working in some of the following technical/functional modules
Loyalty program
Gift Card program
Channel integration
CRM implementation and analytics
Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter etc.
Omniture analytics
Site integration

Candidate should possess basic technical experience of being able to retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources and compiling it into digestible and actionable formats, monitor and refine existing metrics through partnership with business owners, seeking new opportunities for growth
Design and develop automated reporting solutions using SQL, Excel, and OBIEE Reporting
Troubleshoot support and data issues or discrepancies
Experience writing advanced MySQL/SQL queries in a professional setting, joining datasets from multiple sources and developing automated reporting solutions
2+ years of advanced Excel experience, analyzing data and creating automated and scalable reports using pivot tables, vlookups, graphs, and linked data
Ability to interface with all levels of management and work with technical teams, business/product owners, and sales managers
Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new data sources quickly
Outstanding communications skills; able to articulate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences
Accurately estimates time and difficulty of individual tasks and projects; makes conscious decisions about how time is spent
Sets goals for self in order to achieve results within deadlines
Effectively manages the expectations of others

Strong understanding of business and IT strategy framework and techniques
Strong process design skills; knows how to apply process analysis, design tools and techniques
Project management skills; ability to multi-task and keep all projects on schedule. Adhere to project and portfolio management as defined by the Project Management Office (PMO), to effectively execute IT projects and activities
Manage project lifecycles, priorities and schedules
Work closely with Supervisor to establish short and medium-term technology goals, for capacity planning, and to determine detailed project priorities and schedules
Manage the QA and UAT processes and any associated work product
Manage the development of training and deployment documentation
Certifications: None required; PMP, OMG certifications desired
