Oversee the administrative activities for the dental department, schedule patient appointments, prepare work schedules and expedite work flow; inspect and review quality and quantity of work; train administrative staff and prepare performance reviews, assist in the preparation of the budget, recommend and implement procedures to increase efficiency; coordinate village trips and assist with dental procedures when necessary.
Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.
Perform leadership functions including selection, scheduling, training, performance management and discipline of the administrative staff within the dental department; instill passion in assigned staff for NSHC’s mission, vision, and values, maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Demonstrate personal initiative and accountability, monitor the program's budget and expenditures; forecast needs and allocate resources
Negotiate or perform the purchase and maintenance of office supplies and equipment and track the related shipping and receiving activities
Conduct special analyses and studies to determine comparative operational costs, and other key department or division issues
Oversee maintenance of items such as budgets, purchase requests, maintenance work orders, travel requests, expense reports, etc., often acting on behalf of manager
Operating on own initiative, undertake and accomplish follow-up actions on behalf of supervisor to ensure projects, reports, and administrative issues are completed on time
May assist with dental procedures
Perform other duties as assigned.
