      Web Analytics Specialist-13005332

      Lead Developer responsible for Web Analytics associated with the Interactive portfolio. Oversees and contributes to the technical implementation and support of web analytics integration and tracking for our Global Customer Experience.

      * Enables the technical delivery of a number of projects
      * Ensures that all needs are met concerning accurate tracking and consumption metrics
      * Responsible for the design, build, test, and implementation phases, as well as ensuring adherence to technical and reporting standards
      * Works with architecture experts to ensure developments support the business and IT strategic plan
      * Responsible for the quality of deliverables in terms of the technical design, implementation, testing, and adherence to technical compliance standards
      * Works primarily with lead project managers, business analysts, and architects
      * Interacts with the business to understand associated business processes in conjunction with all new interactive development
      * Ensures that all reporting needs are understood and considered from both business and technologies views
      * Ensures compliance with the larger Interactive reporting strategy and format
      * Delegates to employee and vendor developers, senior developers, and/or developers, and monitors performance across resource channels
      * Works with business analysts/partners to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions
      * Ensures technical design/implementations are completed to a high standard, delegating to senior developers, business system analysts, and programmers, as appropriate
      * Provides/reviews estimates for design, build, test, and implementation phases, ensuring quality and accuracy is maintained
      * Advises project management on the best time to engage dependent teams (for example, database management teams)
      * Manages (monitors and addresses) all development activity, and is accountable for ensuring quality and adherence to technical, security, and compliance standards
      * Coordinates application support activity during the 90-day warranty period
      * Provides feedback to lead architects on practical utilization of enterprise-wide standards
      * Supports the architectural design and documentation
      * Performs/leads software design, development, and documentation
      * Provides hands-on technical expertise/governance on all aspects of implementation
      * Guarantees quality of software development and testing; Key point of contact for technical aspects of web analytics for all business partners
      * Determines optimal way to use SiteCatalyst features (variables, report suites, etc.) to answer business questions
      * Provides detailed tagging instructions to implementation technician, ensuring the adherence to corporate standards
      * Maintains historical library of implementation documentation (Solution Design Reference), and shares knowledge within organization
      * Assigned administrative user for managing business partner’s SiteCatalyst settings, permissions, and new accounts
      * Validates data collection for business partner's project


      * 5-10 years of technical experience, or equivalent, working with Enterprise level reporting and data-driven reporting solutions
      * Mst have a drive and demonstrated will to win with personal accountability to deliver top service to our customers
      * Experience in working with tools such as Google Analytics and/or Omniture’s Site Catalyst to track web site behaviors is required
      * Experience in J2EE frameworks, Java/JDBC/JSP/UDB/XML technologies, and WebSphere required
      * Working knowledge of information security standards
      * Expertise in OOAD, iterative development,and other state of the art solution delivery methods and tools is helpful
      * Experience with American Express Technologies (AET) IT governance processes is a plus
      * Strong organizational, decision making, risk management, relationship, and problem-solving skills
      * Must be able to learn and apply new technologies
      * Manages multiple tasks effectively and can demonstrate the ability to progress work in parallel
      * Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player with strong strategic and thought leadership skills

      * Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically dispersed, multi-functional environment
      * JAVA certification and Computer Science or Information Systems degree strongly preferred
