We are seeking a

Lead Systems

to provide application support for a suite of industry leading

The Lead System Engineer will
support the current service platform by focusing on improving and maintaining
the application build standards, including but not limited to hardware and
virtual capabilities, new feature integration, change management, and patch
management. The current service platform includes client-server and web-based
applications along with several other components and modules. These
applications and products are using .NET and J2EE technologies currently
running on Windows 2003/2008, Citrix, Active Directory, IIS, JBoss, etc. This
position includes weekend work hours.

Essential Day-to-Day

Lead and assist in building and administering of a multi-platform,
multi-site enterprise infrastructure, including networking, storage,
servers, and virtualization

Ensure compliance with SSAE16 standards

Research, test, implement, and verify configuration

Lead and Coordinate the implementation of appl

ication, server monitoring, backups and patching

Help to plan for the future of the site/network and
maintain existing site/network

Evaluate and recommend purchases

Work with Operations team to ensure all production
environments are highly available and reliable

Define and manage Disaster Recovery strategies

Build, install, configure, and maintain Citrix, Active
Directory, and Windows 2003/2008 servers

Maintaining and supporting infrastructure which
includes address management and name resolution services (IPAM, DNS, DHCP
and WINS)

Provide problem management services by utilizing
diagnostic and debugging tools to aid in troubleshooting efforts including
24x7 rotating pager support

Work with developers to implement applications into
production, stage and QA environments

Work with developers to provide server architecture and
performance tuning of the environments

Establish support documentation for the products

Provide and maintain well-written documentation on
server and environment architecture

Provide training on server environment and procedures
necessary to support the products

Responsibility for Others:
Lead project initiatives as requested

Act as customer interface for our data center vendor,
and lead and coordinate various projects as needed and requested

Facilitate improvements to group processes and
technology solutions, i.e. monitoring standards, change/problem management

Provide mentoring and training for new team members

Additional Information:
Candidate should be willing to work occasional night
and early morning shifts to support the 24X7 environment. The usual
support timings would be between 08:00am to 06:00PM EST

BE / BS Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Qualifications/ Requirements:

4+ years of experience as a Systems
Administrator, Engineer or equivalent


3+ years of prior system
administration experience, including working with Citrix, Active Directory and
Windows Server 2003/2008


Prior experience with compliance
standards such as SSAE16 (SAS-70)

Working experience of web technologies, browsers and
terminology (i.e. HTML, CGI, XML, Java, .NET, etc.)

Prior experience with one of the following:
IIS, JBoss and/or Apache Tomcat and/or
SpringSource TC Server

Working knowledge of certificate based authentication

Prior experience with: Operations, Cloud, VMware,
Windows, Linux, Site Reliability, Capacity planning

Working knowledge of host-based security fundamentals,
(e.g., users/groups, file ownership and permissions, access-lists,
firewall rules, and file integrity monitoring).

Working knowledge of storage fundamentals (e.g., file
systems, RAID, logical volume management, NFS).

Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
fundamentals (e.g., DNS, DHCP, ARP, VLANs, routing, subnets, CIDR notation
load balancers, intrusion detection, log collection and analysis).

Understanding of Identity Management systems (MIIS/FIM)

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and
ability to think “out of the box” required

Strong ability to manage multiple and sometimes
competing priorities

Excellent customer service and communication (oral /
written) skills required

Work independently on complex tasks with minimal
technical and management guidance

Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms and
technologies with a keen interest in expanding and applying this knowledge
as new ones emerge

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced, challenging team environment

Willingness and enthusiasm to support a variety of
applications, crossing multiple platforms, including providing 24x7 pager
coverage on a rotating basis

Beneficial Skills:
Working knowledge Unix/Linux platforms

Working knowledge of Bash, Cron, VisualCron

Working knowledge of Oracle DBMS

Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager

ITIL Certification V2 or V3 is preferred
