Pentair"€™s Residential Filtration GBU provides clean, safe, refreshing water to families around the world by using innovative, environmentally-focused, and energy-saving technologies and solutions. The business addresses consumer markets with a range of filtration, softener, and deionization products and systems. Pentair Residential Filtration brands include Fleck, Autotrol, Structural, Aquamatic, Pentek, SIATA, WellMate, American Plumber, GE, OMNIFILTER and Fibredyne.
Provide leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods within cross-departmental improvement activities to drive the Pentair Operations group toward improved waste elimination in business processes. Convert strategy deployment goals and value stream mapping activities into KAIZEN team actions – lead and follow-up on the conversion of batch processing to lean practices. Work with leadership to identify opportunities, execute action plans, follow-up and ensure achievement of enterprise goals. Promote a positive lean culture with proactive leadership to drive accountability and persistent emphasis on continuous improvement.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Execute the plan and follow-up to ensure that changes are sustained and evaluated for effectiveness. Provide aid to teams to prioritize improvement opportunities on tactical planning objectives to maximize waste reduction.Oversee use of project management tools (A3s) and drive project-based approach to completion with identified team leads. Supervise individuals in the execution of process improvement activities and monitoring of performance to standard work throughout Operations. Active supervision, including setting goals, driving accountability and mentoring for improvement, of direct reportsTrain and Facilitate: Develop others on Lean principles and tools for implementing creative solutions for system and process improvements.Standard Work, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Ergonomics, SMED, 5-S, 3P, Kanban, Time Studies, Takt Time, 8 Wastes, Six SigmaCoordinate and / or facilitate Administrative or Operations related Lean kaizen Events.Planning and scheduling of future events.Assuring open communications and involvement of employees who work in the process.Coordination and periodic updates of progress during the Event.Guiding team leaders to accomplish tasks with given resources and stay motivated and focused to prioritize activities.Facilitate and guide all team members of kaizens through conflict resolution and maintain lean principle guidelines.Use Lean techniques to perform process reviews and aid in establishing standardized work procedures. Keep teams on target to achieve SMART goals and ensuring that teams respond quickly to arising issues.

- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline required
- Demonstrated ability to get results by working through others
- Problem analysis and resolution at a functional level
- Technical skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, Process Improvement, and Analysis
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts, and a thorough knowledge of lean principles and processes. Two plus years experience preferred
- Willingness to work extended hours and off-shifts
- Project leadership experience
- Experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and interpreting data for various reporting purposes
- Strong customer service (internal and external) orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with CAD preferred
- Excellent computer proficiency – Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with JDE, SAP, or other integrated computer system required
