We hope so! Position Summary: The Learning and Development Specialist – University Services position is a full–time employment opportunity. In this position you will have regular interaction with his/her Functional Area and additional departments for Bridgepoint Education and its subsidiaries. Essential Job Duties: • Facilitating and delivering instructor–led training courses and Webcasts for department and company specific initiatives • Identifying professional development needs for department, leadership, and other mandatory programs • Work to develop and improve courses and evaluate course content to remain compliant and up–to–date • Function as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in development of training materials • Review and audit training materials for accuracy and compliance • Attend meetings and workgroups as a representative of Learning and Development • Design and develop training materials, resources and tools to meet performance needs • Educate and coach managers and employees to enhance the effectiveness of learning • Conduct post training follow–up to ensure learning objectives have been met and understood • Stays on top of trends and developments in the field of Learning and Development • Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve efficiency of training programs offered.

Minimum Requirements: • Bachelors degree required • Master’s degree or certification in related field preferred • Knowledge of MS office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Experience in or the technical savvy to quickly learn design software such as; articulate storyline, adobe captivate, or other current development tools. Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum experience within Higher Education (University Services) of 1 year required • Excellent presentation skills • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication • 1–3 years training experience required Education: • Bachelors degree required • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
