Learning Center Tutor: Writing Northampton Community College -

PT – (10-20 hours/week) Seeking Writing Tutors for possible future openings. Tutors must have excellent reading and writing skills, patience, and an ability to coach students in writing college-level papers for a range of courses, including developmental English, composition, literature, social sciences, and the sciences. Knowledge of MLA and APA citation formats and experience working with ESL students preferred.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Writing, Rhetoric, Composition, ESL , English/American Literature, or a related field.
A writing sample must be included with application material for a candidate to be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a peer or professional tutor.
