HIRING UNIT: SCHOOL OF NURSING
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Periodically, the School of Nursing may have various openings throughout the
year (AY 2013-2014) for various full time, non-tenure, academic year or academic
year term instructor appointments and part-time, non-tenure, semester term
Lecturer appointments at its Carbondale campus. Major teaching responsibilities
in undergraduate program. Program is CCNE accredited.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:
Academic, non-tenure, term, percent of appointment varies.
SOURCE OF FUNDS:
Commensurate with training and experience
A Master’s degree in Nursing required; doctorate preferred. Teaching experience
encouraged, but not required. Critical care, pediatrics, maternal-child, public
health, mental health, medical-surgical or school nursing education and
experience highly desirable. RN licensure in Illinois required.
