Norwalk Community College invites applicants with a minimum of Master’s degree level in Biology, Environmental, Ecological, Forestry or Marine Biological Science who possess demonstrated statistical analysis skills, to apply for this position. Consideration will be given to individuals who possess Masters in Public Health and demonstrated discipline-specific research skills. Experience teaching with effective written and oral communication skills is required.
A demonstrated understanding of the mission of the comprehensive community college and its diverse student population is essential.

Under the direction of the Science Department Chairperson, the ideal candidate will work within the Science Department as an engaged full-time faculty member per the language of collective bargaining. This position will establish and develop those classes that are required to educate students that transfer and/or complete certificate programs to seek gainful employment in environmental science fields. Additionally, the selected candidate will be expected to teach courses that support growth of the Science Department at Norwalk Community College and to fulfill the US Department of Labor grant “Connecticut Health and Life Science Initiative”. The incumbent is expected to represent the College in a positive manner and work as a team player with colleagues in the department. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
