Summary:
Provides assistance to lawyers on domestic and international trademark prosecution

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist lawyers in the trademark group with domestic and internal trademark filings – prepare trademark (and copyright) applications (e-filing) and monitor status. Order and review full searches prepared by outside searching services. Perform searches regarding trademark availability and related issues. Prepare correspondence and documents regarding trademark status. Prepare appeal, opposition and cancellation proceedings in the USPTO and manage the same. Prepare and file intellectual property assignments, including legalization, in connection with business acquisitions domestically and internationally. Assist in the intellectual property due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions including creation of schedules therefore. Perform legal research on trademark matters using LEXIS, Westlaw, Saegis and other on-line services. Monitor trademark prosecution docket for deadlines. Support all phases of copyright and domain name portfolio management with experience in domain name dispute resolution.

Education and/or Experience:Required:
Bachelors Degree

5-10 years legal assistant experience in the trademark field
